At Fudds

Just him and I went there for a burger tonight.

Yes...that's a gas pump behind him. An old-fashioned one they have for decoration.

They also have a Shure 444 Microphone in there on the shelf...for no good reason...other than decoration. I have one in the ham shack for the classic Drake 4C line stuff from the 70s.

Here's a pic of a sample. In case you just HAD to know what they look like.

COOL? I should say SO.

This wasn't even a year ago!

Somebody needs to wake up and do something about energy prices.

Trying another one from Picasa....pretty cool. This is a "special effect". They need a special effect to make me look 50 lbs lighter. From 2005 apparently.

Trying out Picasa publishing

I have this watch. Bulova Accutron from the 60's.

Probably a hacked "Spaceview" model, but it's certainly a real Accutron.
And it really hums...you can hear the tuning fork in it.

Who needs a sandbox when there are window wells.

He always want to go in the window well and dig the rocks out...

This pic is about a month old now.

And here's a little video from the same day...hung up a steering wheel, which Austin loves.

And here's another video just for fun. About 2 day prior to the one above.

IN the pool today.

About 40 seconds of video.

Later, Jerrie went to get a more substantial pool. the little inflatable one from last year isn't really cutting it anymore.

Here's the new one....

Running down the sidewalk

This boy hurt his lip when he fell. He has a cold (and runny nose), so it's taking forever to heal up.

Austin and Jerrie - and Jack.

Different things...different days...nice early summer weather!

Another biker on the road.

Doug's been out riding the SilverWing. So far, so good.
He and I went out and did about 15 miles the other day just for fun.

Cool application for computer audio/ RTTY/SSTV/PSK /Digital

Ham radio people and anyone doing a lot of audio recording and playback with your PC.

Check this out:

http://www.ptpart.co.uk/quickmix/

Great for PSK31, RTTY, SSTV, and any of the digital modes where you interface the radio to a computer and have to FUTZ around with the "volume control panel" on the recording and/or playback side. You know how your audio settings are never right? Well, QuickMix can save settings for a particular mode and recall them later....

NICE work guys!

Their QuickRecord program is also excellent. If you need a basic audio recorder without the 60 second limit, it's a good choice. It's simple and solid!

Thanks to http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/ and John Albrich for pointing it out!
John..you saved me hours of work!
