Sprint Netgear Zing hotspot. POOR hardware support.

Both Sprint and Netgear have really dropped the ball on this one.

The Netgear Zing a great hotspot device with the worst hardware support I've ever experienced.

I have a bad battery in my Zing hotspot after just 3 months.  Neither Sprint nor Netgear are considering listening to me about.  Sprint says call Netgear, and Netgear says call Sprint.

I will update this should the situation change.

FAIR WARNING, if you get one of these from Sprint and expect hardware service during your "One Year Warranty"...forget it.   If the actual hotspot device failed, you'd be in hot water I'm afraid.

Neither company is willing to stand behind the device.

I fear this could become commonplace as the carriers REALLY want to sell you their insurance.

At roughly $10/month for insurance, you are spending $240 over the life of a typical 2 year contract.

Weeee!

I see that Zing batteries are less than $10 shipped from some vendors on Ebay....

I will keep fighting this...I thought that both Sprint and Netgear had more integrity than this.
