Snowy

We left for Rochester last Friday late in the afternoon for the annual shopping trek.

We knew the weather was supposed to get worse on Saturday and be better again on Sunday, which was perfect timing...and it actually turned out that way!

Saturday brought snow and ice. We went swimming on Saturday morning, took a walk in the skyway and had lunch with Ron at Jasper's. The Monte Cristo was de-lish. Went back to the hotel and proceeded to nap...which was good since Austin did not sleep well Friday night. All were tired by Saturday afternoon. Got up and ventured out to Fleet Farm to get some winter gear and headed over to Michael's restaurant for the annual pre-Christmas dinner. Jerrie had filet mignon and I had ribs and shrimp. Austin had a little of ALL of our stuff and ate a lot.

Well, he didn't have any wine, but Jerrie and I finished that with no problem. I had more than my share! Oh...and fried mushrooms and garlic toast. Austin got restless and had to tour the restaurant a few times. It's no small tour in that place! Headed home on Sunday and roads were really pretty good by then.

Yesterday (Tuesday) got more snow which made the drive home none too good.

Glad that Doug went out and made some rounds with the snowblower and shovel!

It's really winter now.
