If you use the included USB cable from Taylor, the weather station WILL run off USB with no batteries.

I tried a number of otherwise-functioning USB C cables with no luck.

Not sure what's so special about the included cable...might be a simple cable with only +5 and ground wired through.

Batteries alone in the 5282011 last about 2 weeks.
